A terrific birthday or anniversary gift
The combination of a very clean design and interesting quilting makes this quilt special. Note how well the tulip block pattern is integrated with the lone star. Also note the extensive use of tulips along the borders. The selection of fabrics is very good -- sometimes earth-tones come across as "muddy", but not here! This quilt was designed so that it could be used sideways on a king-size bed.
The back is covered with a single sheet of white fabric. The quilting pattern is interesting and attractive with areas of very dense quilting balanced by open areas, on average the quilting density is greater than 100 linear inches per square foot. The quality of the stitching is good with 6 to 7 fairly uniform stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
